Partnership Program

The AlgaGen Partnership Program is designed to be a win-win situation for all involved. Participating partners receive significant discounts. Since we have downsized production dramatically, this advanced commitment allows AlgaGen to plan production, which helps us by minimizing wasted production and waste efforts. In addition, Partners receive a Priority Status. Scheduling for your live feeds will take priority over order that are placed for “Just in Time” (JIT). If you are looking for a one time purchase, or smaller quantities, it is $120 per 1,000. We do not charge a fee to be a Partner BUT do require full payment prior to initiation.

We also require 2 week prior termination notice.

These prices require full, nonrefundable payment, and minimum 2 week lead time to scale up production to meet your needs. Discounts are based on larger quantities, and more frequent shipments. No changes, substitutions, etc.

We offer a 4 Month and 6 Month Commitment Period with larger discounts.

Outsourcing Program

At AlgaGen we believe we have some of the best production strains of microalgae available on the market.  We work hard to produce the highest quality cultures and have made great progress in the past year. 

• We do not use antibiotics, in order to prevent antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria in the culture
• We subject our strains to warm-hot temperatures
• Varying light cycles
• We test for pathogenic bacteria
• We use our strains in a production facility

In fact, our strains are used by hatcheries, public aquariums, Universities, shrimp farms, etc.
In the past we have offered our strains in test-tube, 2L hi-density and 18L volumes and have catered to JIT (Just In Time) demand.  Due to the fact that numerous companies utilize our production to replace their “glass work-cultures” or carboy production, our production facility has taken on a contract production position.
As of November we will not be able to accommodate JIT needs.  We will require 7-10 days prior notice, paid in advance, in order to prepare orders and new pricing will apply.
For those groups that utilize our cultures as a means of outsourcing the “glass work” aspect of algae culture on a continuous basis, we provided discounts.
 
CULTURE DESCRIPTION

• Test tube: 30mLs lite culture. It is meant to start a transfer line and/or inoculate a flask (250mLs)
• Starter 8 oz: 250mLs of culture, litely inoculate. This is will need to sit in front of the light, and be aerated in order to increase cell density.
• 2L Hi-density: 2000mLs of dark algae.  This culture is cleaner than the 18L because it is not as far down the production line.  It is also a great choice when long distance shipping is involved.  It has great inoculation power, meaning, it can inoculate multiple carboys, or a cylinder or two.
• 18L Carboys: Great algae that can be used to inoculate cylinder/sun tubes or fed out directly. It is farthest down the production line and so bacterial loading is what one can expect to find. By no means is it a slime culture.  People have had success using this culture as inoculum in their systems for over 1 year of continuous production.
